When the first season of VMS' golf reality show rolled in, it became clear that it would be impossible to handle all the footage from the multiple camera crews in the PGA tournament on-prem, or in a timely manner. My team's solution? On site Iconik ingesting into cloud storage and custom integrations to move selects down to our OpenDrives on prem. Our hybrid cloud/ on-prem approach distributed not only the assets but the actual workflow into cloud and local systems, exponentially increasing the team's capacity to process incoming footage.
